6 – 12 months

12 months +
Having found your optimal dose, your hair can become thicker, fuller, and stronger all over, with the shedding cycles less noticeable.

How will treatment stop my hair loss?
Good question! The active ingredient/s used in the treatment are clinically proven to stop further hair loss via a number of actions.
Often your personalised medication will include two active ingredients which will both work to stop further hair loss.
The first will be an anti-androgen which may reduce or completely stop the formation of a particular type of testosterone present on your scalp (DHT) that shrinks your hair follicles. Blocking DHT can halt the progression of your hair loss.
The second active ingredient (which can be used alone or in combination with the first) is a vasodilator. It helps increase blood flow and nutrients to your hair follicles to promote new growth and stop further hair loss.
How will the treatment grow my hair?
The question above explains how one of the main active ingredients in the medication helps stimulate hair growth. This ingredient is what we call a vasodilator — it helps increase blood flow and nutrients to your hair follicles, pushing growth through and awakening dormant follicles.
There are two types of hair growth taking place: growth and regrowth. Growth means the current hair on your head is improving over time. It’s quite easy for the treatment to improve the general quality, health, strength and thickness of the hair on your head.
Regrowth refers to producing new growth in places where you have lost hair and no new hair is coming through. It is entirely possible to produce regrowth but it can take a bit more time to achieve.
When this new hair comes through, it will normally be less mature than the other hair on your head, and may at first appear wispy, lighter in colour, and finer.
With each ensuing growth cycle, the hair can continue to improve in thickness, strength, colour, and health, until it matches the rest of the hair on your head.
How does the treatment concentrate growth on the head?
Most of the time, you won’t start sprouting unwanted hairs on your body because the treatment focuses on scalp hair.
Think about all the hair across your body (such as legs, arms, armpits, and the public region). It grows to a certain length and then falls out. The hair on your head will continue to grow and grow and grow until you get a haircut (in an ideal world!).
This is why the treatment usually concentrates the growth on your head and has clinically proven to be so effective. The hair follicles on your scalp have the greatest capacity for stimulation and receive more nutrients and blood than all your bodily follicles.
What happens if I stop the treatment?
In most cases, if you stop taking the treatment, it will stop working. The treatment is safe to continue taking over the long-term, and the goal is to find the lowest effective dose for long-term success.

How long will it take to work?
Unfortunately, there is no miracle overnight hair loss cure for men or women. Like all good things, the treatment takes time to work. For most patients, it will take between 3 and 6 months to start seeing results.
You’ll start on a low dose and likely increase your dose at months three, six and beyond to continue to improve your results — it’s important to talk to a doctor at these intervals to make sure you’re on the right track.
