What types of hair loss can we treat?
Androgenetic Alopecia: Also known as male or female pattern baldness. A genetic condition that causes gradual thinning, bald spots/patches and receding hair.
Telogen Effluvium: Shedding triggered by stress, illness, or hormonal changes. Often occurs alongside androgenetic alopecia.
Hormone related: Shedding that occurs from childbirth or breastfeeding, menopause, thyroid conditions, and PCOS due to hormonal changes. Generally, a subtype of telogen effluvium.
Weight Loss related: Rapid or extreme weight loss (especially from crash diets, surgery, or nutrient deficiency) can shock the system, leading to excessive shedding a few months later.
Thinning: General or diffuse hair reduction across the scalp or specific areas.
Anagen Effluvium: Rapid hair loss caused by certain medications and treatments like chemotherapy or radiation that interrupt active hair growth.
Damaged Hair: Hair that is weak, brittle, or breaking due to heat, chemical, or mechanical stress.
Traction Alopecia: Hair loss from constant pulling on the hair follicles. Often caused by tight hairstyles like braids, ponytails, or extensions.
How long will it take to work?
Unfortunately, there is no miracle overnight solution for thicker hair for men or women. Like all good things, good loss of hair remedies take time to work. For most patients, it usually takes between 3 and 6 months to notice any positive changes.
Hair grows slowly and in cycles, so whatever treatment you take needs time to start producing noticeable changes. It’s up to a medical practitioner to determine the ingredients and dosage for your balding treatment, depending on your goals. They may start you on a lower-strength treatment and make dose or ingredient changes at various intervals based on their ongoing consultations with you. It’s very important to talk to a medical practitioner at these stages to make sure you’re on the right track.
