How to get your strands on The Hairy Pill^®

If approved, a doctor (under the guidance and training of Professor Rodney Sinclair) will prescribe your personalised bottle (down to the milligram).

Your daily supply will be sent directly to your chosen location every three months (that’s 100 capsules) in discreet packaging, using an express post service.

The Hairy Pill^® subscription includes ongoing phone consultations with doctors who specialise in hair loss. These happen at months 3 and 6, and beyond.

You’ll be provided with ongoing personalised support to answer all your questions, check your progress, and change your dose and/or ingredients over time, based entirely on your needs. You can also request a consultation at any time at no additional charge.

In most cases, if you stop taking the treatment, it will stop working. The treatment can be very safe to continue taking over the long-term and it’s important to attend your ongoing doctor phone consultations to track your progress and check-in. The goal of treatment is also to find the lowest effective dose for long-term success.

We want to make your treatment simple, comfortable, convenient, and part of your daily routine. You will not be required to take this treatment forever as there will be advancements in technology in the not too distant future.

All prescription medications have the chance of side effects. However, with 650+ ingredient combinations, our partner doctors and pharmacists have a great deal of control over what goes into your hair loss medication to significantly reduce the risks of side effects.

Unfortunately, there is no miracle overnight hair loss cure for men or women. Like all good things, the treatment takes time to work. For most patients, it will take between 3 and 6 months to start seeing results.

You’ll likely start on a low dose and make dose changes at months three, six and beyond in consultation with the doctor to continue to improve your results — it’s very important to talk to a doctor at these intervals to make sure you’re on the right track.

The doctor will generally assess you for treatment within 24 hours of your order being processed (excluding weekends). The pharmacist will call to confirm your details, generally on the same day as your doctor approval.

Your treatment will then be compounded and your order dispatched via express post. Depending on your location in Australia it can range from 1-2 business days delivery (metro) to 3-5 business days (rural).

No need! Only your first order needs to be completed via the website. All future orders will be managed by The Hairy Pill^® team. This will either follow a doctor phone consultation (also facilitated by The Hairy Pill^® team) or a repeat dose, depending on your progress and satisfaction with the treatment.

Absolutely! All of your doctor phone consultations are always included at no additional charge. These are built into the framework at specific periods. Consultations can also be requested at any point in time. Please note The Hairy Pill^® team can also follow up with the doctor on your behalf with any questions or concerns.

Each bottle of medication provided will be a 3-month dose with 100 pills provided. We work to a 90-day cycle with 10 extra pills provided free of charge in each bottle in case of any delays with postage or lost pills. This means each time you receive a new bottle of pills you should have approximately 10 pills remaining in your current bottle. You can start on the new bottle immediately upon receiving it.

We’ll provide you with a full refund if a partner doctor denies you for the hair loss treatment. We’ll also provide you with a full refund if you change your mind before your first bottle of hair loss medication is produced and dispatched by the pharmacist.

Due to regulations, both general and prescription medicines (including any medication taken orally) cannot be returned or reused once received and won’t be refunded as a result of a change of mind or side effects (rare).
